Survey Records

LOCATING SURVEY RECORDS

Survey maps filed in the Del Norte County Clerk-Recorder's Office may be located using the Del Norte County Clerk-Recorder's Official Records Search database. 

  • Identify the township, range, and section where the parcel of interest is located. (This may be located on the Assessor's Parcel Map for the parcel of interest.)
  • Access the "Advanced Search" portion of the Del Norte County Clerk-Recorder's Official Records Search database.
  • Enter township, range, and section into the "Grantee" field and "Search". (Example: Township 16 North, Range 1 West, Section 28 would be entered as "R1W T16N S28".)
  • All survey maps within the township, range, and section should be listed. 

Survey maps filed in the Del Norte County Clerk-Recorder's Office may be located using the Survey Map Index maintained by the Engineering and Surveying Division of the Community Development Department. 

  • Obtain Assessor's Parcel Number for the parcel of interest from the Del Norte County Assessor's Office.
  • Search the Survey Map Index by book and page corresponding to the Assessor's Parcel Number. (Example: APN: 118-020-019-000 would be Assessor's Parcel Book 118, page 2.)
  • All survey maps filed for the parcel of interest and surrounding area should be listed in the Survey Map Index. 
  • If no survey maps are listed either there are no survey map records available or a survey record has been unintentionally omitted from the Survey Map Index.
  • If it is discovered that a filed survey map has been omitted from the Survey Map Index please send an email to engineering@co.del-norte.ca.us and provide a reference to the survey map record that is missing so that the Survey Map Index can be updated.

Corner records may be located using the Corner Record Index maintained by the Engineering and Surveying Division of the Community Development Department.

  • Obtain Assessor's Parcel Number for the parcel of interest from the Del Norte County Assessor's Office.
  • Search the Corner Record Index by book and page corresponding to the Assessor's Parcel Number. (Example: APN: 118-020-019-000 would be Assessor's Parcel Book 118, page 2.)
  • If it is discovered that a filed corner record has been omitted from the Corner Record Index please send an email to engineering@co.del-norte.ca.us and provide a reference to the corner record that is missing so that the Corner Record Index can be updated.
