Juvenile Detention

The Del Norte County Probation Department currently contracts for Juvenile Detention with Humboldt and Shasta Counties.

Juvenile Arrests and Bookings: 
When someone under the age of eighteen is arrested in Del Norte County, they are transported to and booked at the Del Norte County Probation Department. After the initial booking process and notification of the parent/guardian, the juvenile may be transported to juvenile detention in Humboldt or Shasta Counties or, if appropriate, they may be released to a parent or guardian.
