Baby Steps is a weekly educational and peer support program for pregnant and or parenting teens, which helps facilitate the wellbeing and self-sufficiency of teen parents. There is no charge for this program. Additionally, there are no income eligibility requirements; however to participate one must be enrolled in school/or graduated, pregnant or parenting, under 21 years of age, attend weekly group meetings, be able to maintain confidentiality of other members and participate in monthly one-on-one meeting with Baby Steps coordinator. Topics covered include Child Development Nutrition and Healthy Life Style; Nutrition and Healthy Life Style; Contraception/SED Education; Conflict Resolution; Parent Education; Career and College Preparation; and Newborn and Pregnancy Care.
