The Del Norte County Sheriff's Office is responsible for maintaining the peace and providing a safer community for those that live and work in Del Norte County. We have a staff of dedicated deputies, correctional officers, and professionals who work daily to meet those goals. The Del Norte County Sheriff's Office has a patrol division, jail division, civil office, court security, and county wide emergency communications. We also have special operations with boating safety and waterways program and Search and Rescue.

The California State Victim Notification Service (VINE) is a service through which victims of crime can use the telephone or internet to search for information regarding their offender's custody status and register to receive telephone and email notification when their offender's custody status changes. A system has been set up allowing the public to submit confidential and anonymous tips to the Del Norte County Sheriff's Department.  You can submit your tip by using an online form or simply texting your tip.  This system is confidential and 100% anonymous.

To submit an anonymous tip via text message, text DNSOTIP and your tip to 847411 (tip411).
