Clerk/Recorder

The objective of the Clerk/Recorder's office is to be protective of the fiduciary responsibility as guardian of public records, to provide the public with prompt and orderly recordation, filing or issuing of documents, and to provide quality copies of recorded documents and vital records when requested. We also process passports, file Notary Bonds & Fictitious Business Name Statements. All of these services offered are done in compliance with the laws of the State of California.

PUBLIC NOTICE: Effective January 1, 2018, pursuant to Senate Bill 2 (SB 2) – Atkins, certain documents accepted for recording at the Del Norte County Recorder shall be charged an additional $75.00 (seventy five dollars).
